I’d forgotten all about the queues for the loo – aaaaaaaaagh! That’s a hilarious list of things to worry about – you’re even worse than me, and that’s saying something! We should form a team next time and fret ourselves into a frenzy – maybe it’s nature’s way of providing us with the adrenalin to get us from start to finish 😉 Good luck on Sunday. Hope it’s amazing (and that everything goes swimmingly) 🙂

I am mid-taper for next Sunday’s Great Birmingham Run and worrying about knees, sore throats, being too cold and being too hot and tripping over in the starting pen and being trampled to death, wearing my charity vest or my running t-shirt, will the train get in on time, will it rain, how long are the queues to the loo, to the luggage drop off, where should my family spectate (I hope I don’t miss them in the crowd), what if I throw up in front of the race photographer, etc, etc, etc

I’m in my taper week right now, running my first marathon next sunday and I am with you on all fronts. My knee is achy and feeling funny, my stomach is just a mess, my head is all over the place. I keep going back and forth from being super confident and excited to freaking out.
Tapering sounds like it should be the best week of our lives – sit around and eat all the carbs?! That’s like a dream. But then you get here and it’s like no, this is so wrong, how is my next run only 4 miles? And then a day off? and another?!

Trying to keep it together though haha Great post!! and best of luck to you!
